into custody yesterday ask charged with felony vandalism following the giants world series win. police tell us diaz is a man in this pictures, swinging a skateboard against the bus windows. officers are still looking for this man, who smashed the bus with a metal barricade. >> people in contra costa county continue to show their support of a local chp officer killed in the lean ever duty. about 100 people gathered for a fundraiser last night to honor highway patrol officer kenyon youngstrom. he was shot during a traffic stop in september. was it just after the 680 freeway in alamo in september. the man who shot him was killed at the scene by another officer. officer youngstrom died the next day at the medical center in walnut creek. proceeds from the banquet will hip his wife, karen, and their four children. she was especially touched by how many people turned out. >> i am in awe how much people have showed their love and support for us. it's really just beautiful. >> event organizer carolyn wilson didn't even know officer youngstrom and didn't meet his wife until last night but she, too, is m

ended in two crashes, hospitalized bicyclist. terry mcsweeney joins us live from the mission district with new information. >> reporter: new information from the chp and new information from city workers. looks like it is not going to be until noon before the lights go back on at 17th and south van ness that is going to be a problem, nobody is out here directing traffic. they've flares out now, i've seen people come through at 30 miles an hour, reason that we have in problem is because the signal box got knocked over at the end of an incident that began 2:00 this morning on the on-ramp to i-80 at 4th street. next, according to the chp that on-ramp was closed that got their attention so did the speeding, weaving, as you look at these picture the incident took five minutes, the jeep that they were chasing up to speeds of 55 miles per hour, slammed into a car which hit a bicyclist. chp not sure if the bicyclist was on the bike or walking the bike, that bicyclist was taken to the hospital, checked out, minor injuries, probably released by now. now take a look at where ended where i am a s

a helicopter which illuminating the hillside. they used a he can-seeking mechanism -- a heat seeking mechanism. >> they found a heat source on the side of the hill. we had our rescue team repel down the hill to look for where the chp stated they saw the heat source and we found nothing. we have the sheriff dive team out here. >> it was very slippery. some of his men started to slip down the hill. they were tethered. the dive team is going into the water and two members will look around. it is unknown at this point how long they will be in the water. this is something they are used to and it is an all volunteer team. the fact that it is raining out and it is dark means nothing. once they get underwater they will try to find this victim. this quarry is filled with water . in some areas it is estimated to be between 40 and 80 feet. there is no current. it is surrounded. dive teams from the alameda county sheriff's department will be going in shortly. unknown how long they will be in the water. john alston, abc news. >> thank you. rain is coming down now in oakland and across much of the bay area.

to look for him. the chp brought out a helicopter which illuminating the hillside. they used a he can-seeking mechanism -- a heat seeking mechanism. >> they found a heat source on the side of the hill. we had our rescue team repel down the hill to look for where the chp stated they saw the heat source and we found nothing. we have the sheriff dive team out here. >> it was very slippery. some of his men started to slip down the hill. they were tethered. the dive team is going into the water and two members will look around. it is unknown at this point how long they will be in the water. this is something they are used to and it is an all volunteer team. the fact that it is raining out and it is dark means nothing. once they get underwater they will try to find this victim. this quarry is filled with water . in some areas it is estimated to be between 40 and 80 feet. there is no current. it is surrounded. dive teams from the alameda county sheriff's department will be going in shortly. unknown how long they will be in the water. john alston, abc news. >> thank you. rain is coming down n
